The Container Leasing Limit is the number of containers that a company can lease in at any given time on xChange.
- It is important to note that the Container Leasing Limit is not affected by the containers you provide as a Supplier, this number is determined by the number of containers you lease in as a User.
The Container Leasing Limit considers containers in leasing deals that are Accepted, Ready for Pickup, and Picked up.
When a company joins xChange, they have to provide the following documents to be eligible for a limit assessment:
- Valid business registration
- Certified/stamped bank account balance for the last 3 months
- Audited financial reports including the last fiscal year
- If the company is younger than 6 months old or non-logistics company: Trade references and supporting documentation
The Container Leasing Limit is determined by the Risk Team after a review of the above-mentioned documents shared by the company.
- The Container Leasing Limit can be decreased or increased over time based on multiple factors related to the ongoing and historical financial and operational performance.
- Not supplying any of the required documents will result in, the company forfeiting the limit review and an automatic limit of 0 being applied.
The Container Leasing Limit is in place to limit individual companies’ exposure to the overall network and to ensure that xChange is a safe place for all its members.
