How can I change the terms of a Leasing Deal? How can I make a counter offer?

In a Leasing Deal, you can change and negotiate the terms during 2 stages:

• Negotiation
• Release
• Pickup
• Dropoff

• Both suppliers and users are allowed to negotiate the terms until the release reference has been uploaded.
• After the release stage has been reached, our users can directly edit the terms on all stages, but only for some of the terms. 
• Please read on for more details. 

Negotiation Stage

The deal has been recently created, therefore both partners are entitled to edit the terms until a common agreement is reached. 

When the terms have been updated, the partners will be prompted to Accept, Negotiate or Decline the deal:

To edit a leasing deal, go to the terms section, and click on the pencil icon to the right of the item you would like to edit:

The terms you can edit at this stage are:

• Pick-up location
• Drop-off location
• Container details:
  • the amount:
    • 4 × 40HC
  • container condition:
    • Cargo Worthy
    • Brand new, etc. 
• Pickup charge (PUC)
• Insurance

Once you have made the desired amendments, click on "update deal" and the other partner will be prompted to approve or disapprove the terms you have changed:

Pickup Stage

• In the pickup stage, you can only directly edit the following terms:
  • Dropoff locations
  • Container amount
  • Free days
  • Per diems
  • Pickup charge
• Any edit request you make will be sent to your partner for approval. 

Dropoff Stage

• Once you have reached this stage, you can only directly edit the Dropoff Locations as you can see below.
• Any edit request you make will be sent to your partner for approval. 

What if the item I want to edit does not have the pencil ✎ icon?

In this case, you will need to tag container xChange's customer support simply by typing @support

Please make sure to clearly state what needs to be changed. For example, container quantity, pick-up or drop-off locations, etc. 

Both partners must confirm their agreement to the requested change on the chat. 

Any communication outside the xChange platform is not binding. This is why it is so important to keep all contact with your partner on the xChange platform.
