How can I change the terms of a Leasing Deal? How can I make a counteroffer?

In a Leasing Deal, you can change and negotiate the terms in all of the following stages:

• Negotiation
• Release
• Pickup
• Dropoff

• Both suppliers and users are allowed to negotiate the terms until an agreement is reached and confirmed by both partners. 
• In all of the stages of the leasing deal, users can directly change the terms through the ✏️ edit option.
  • By using the ✏️ edit option, the other partner will receive a notification to also confirm or deny the change of terms. 
• Please read on for more details. 

Negotiation Stage

The deal has been recently created, therefore both partners are entitled to edit the terms until a common agreement is reached. 

• For example, if the Supplier has already updated the terms and is waiting for the user to confirm, the User will be prompted to Extend the Negotiation, Confirm or Decline the deal.

• To edit a leasing deal, go to the terms tab, and click on the Edit button as shown below: 

• The terms you can edit under the Negotiation stage are:
  
  
  • Pickup charge
    
  • Free days
  • Per diem
  • Daily storage charge
  • Pick-up location
  • Drop-off location
  • Container details:
    • Container amount:
      • 4 × 40HC
    • Container condition:
      • Cargo Worthy
      • Brand new, etc. 
  • Depreciated residual value (DRV)
  • Additional terms
    
    
• The terms you can not edit are:
  • Free storage period
  • Cancellation fee

• Once you have made the desired amendments, you can send your counteroffer to your partner as shown below:

• Your partner will be prompted to Confirm or Decline the terms you have changed:

Release Stage

• Under the release stage, you can edit the following terms:

  • Pick-up locations
  • Dropoff locations
  • Container amount
  • Free days
  • Per diems
  • Storage fees
  • Pickup charge
  • Insurance
• Any edit request you make will be sent to your partner for ✅ approval. 
  
  

Pickup Stage

• In the pickup stage, you can only directly edit the following terms:
  • Dropoff locations
  • Container amount
  • Free days
  • Per diems
  • Pickup charge
• Any edit request you make will be sent to your partner for ✅ approval. 

Dropoff Stage

• Once you have reached this stage, you can only directly edit the Dropoff Locations as you can see below.
• Any edit request you make will be sent to your partner for ✅ approval. 

What if the item I want to edit does not have the pencil ✎ icon?

In this case, you will need to tag container xChange's customer support simply by typing @support

Make sure to click on the option to properly tag us:

• Please make sure to clearly state what needs to be changed. For example, container quantity, pick-up or drop-off locations, etc. 
  
• Both partners must confirm their agreement to the requested change on the chat. 
  
• Any communication outside the xChange platform is not binding. This is why it is so important to keep all contact with your partner on the xChange platform.
