At Container xChange, we evaluate the performance of all marketplace participants to help our members gain insights into potential partners' reliability, behavior, and associated risks. This feature is currently free for all xChange members, with metrics updated daily based on Trading and Leasing transactions.
You can view them on any company profile by clicking on the company name, for example, when using Leasing or Trading Search.
Performance Metrics are calculated separately for Leasing & Trading to give you clearer insight into your and your partners' performance on each marketplace.

Payment Reliability
Payment Reliability shows a company's timeliness in settling invoices, allowing you to assess their payment behavior based on xChange-issued invoices (both subscription and deal-related). If a company has no issued invoices on xChange, this metric will not appear.

Operational Reliability
Operational Reliability shows how well a company fulfills its responsibilities in deals made on xChange. This metric is important if you value a partner that reliably follows agreements. Missing data means that xChange hasn’t gathered sufficient data, usually due to limited deal activity.
The following metrics are relevant for both Leasing & Trading marketplaces.

Responsiveness
The responsiveness metric shows how quickly and reliably a company replies to messages, an essential factor if timely communication is important for your business. If data is missing, this usually means the company has not yet engaged in any negotiations.

What happened to Risk Ratings?
We no longer populate Risk Ratings for Leasing Users.
With the new split of Leasing & Trading metrics, you'll more clearly see how Leasing users are performing against critical risk metrics like Damage Rates, Historical Loss Rates, and Overuse Rates as well as operational metrics like Pickup Speed, Deal Payment Speed, Response Rates & Reply Speeds, and more.
What impacts Listing Quality?
The biggest factors that impact this score:
- Listings are live on xChange, but containers end up being sold out before listings are updated or taken down.
- Prices have not been updated to reflect most recent prices.
- Listings specify certain information, but the specs of the actual containers are different than listed.
We understand that containers sell out quickly and it’s not always possible to keep listings up to date in real time, which is why we specify ranges in our performance metrics.
