What kind of actions do you take against sellers who violate the rules? 

We employ a range of actions depending on the severity and frequency of the violation. These can include:

  • Warnings and Education: For first-time or less severe infractions, we may issue formal warnings and provide educational materials to ensure sellers understand our policies.
  • Listing Removal: We monitor listings and will remove those that appear to violate our policies, such as those that seem like "bait-and-switch" tactics or misrepresent availability.
  • Temporary Suspension: For more serious or repeated violations, we may temporarily suspend a seller's account, preventing them from listing or trading on our platform for a specified period.
  • Permanent Account Closure: In cases of severe or persistent breaches of our policies, we reserve the right to permanently close a seller's account.
  • Financial Penalties: As outlined in our Marketplace Policies, we may impose financial penalties on sellers who accept a transaction for a container that is not actually available or engage in other prohibited behaviors that cause detriment to buyers.

 

How do you identify and investigate potential violations? 

We utilize a combination of methods to identify potential issues:

  • User Reporting: We encourage buyers to report any suspicious activity or negative experiences they encounter. Your feedback, like the examples you provided, is invaluable in helping us identify potential problems.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Our team actively monitors listings and transaction data and seller behaviour for patterns that may indicate policy violations.
  • Automated Checks: We are continuously working to implement automated systems that can help flag potentially problematic listings or seller behavior.

What should buyers do if they encounter a seller who isn't following the rules? 

If you experience any issues or suspect a seller is violating our Marketplace Policies, please report it to our customer support team immediately through the platform. Please provide as much detail as possible, including order IDs, communication screenshots, and any other relevant information. This will help us investigate the issue thoroughly.
