What information do I need to begin the insurance process?
- In order to start the insurance process, you need to provide the following information:
- Type of Container
- Container Number
- Pick-up location
- Pick-up date/ Date on which you want the insurance to come into effect
- You can add the information directly in the Insurance Manager. The container number and pick-up date can be added via file upload.
I’ve never used the Insurance Manager before - how do I initiate the insurance process?
- First, you need to access the Insurance Manager through the Navigation Menu on the left.
- You will see a general overview of the difference between Basic Insurance and
Premium Insurance
- You can use the Basic Insurance Cost Calculator to calculate the insurance charges for your individual case by entering:
- Container type
- Quantity of containers
- Pick-up location
- Insured period: number of days you want the insurance to be enabled.
- After you have entered the data, you can move forward with the process by clicking on ⬆️ Choose Basic or Choose Premium
- You will not be charged for any insurance at this point.
- You will then add the containers you want to insure. To do this, download the Excel template and fill out both the container number and the pick-up date (the date you want the coverage to start).
- If you want to use the Premium insurance, you can also choose your preferred deductible in this step.
- Once you upload the filled-out template, the Checkout box will automatically update.
- Please note that only the first insurance cycle of 60 days will be reflected here. The insurance will renew automatically after 60 days.

- Only by clicking Start Basic Insurance (or Start Premium Insurance), your coverage will start and you will be charged.
- You will automatically be redirected to your insurance overview page, where you can monitor each container’s insurance status, add new containers to insure, and stop the insurance for some or all containers.
How do I start the insurance if my company has used the Insurance Manager before?
- If you or one of your colleagues has used the Insurance Manager before, the process is faster.
- After accessing the Insurance Manager through the navigation menu, you will see the Insurance overview page, where you can monitor each container’s insurance status, add new containers to insure, and stop the insurance for some or all containers.
- To start a new insurance, simply click on Start New Insurance in the upper right corner.
- You will then add the containers you want to insure. To do this, download the Excel template and fill out both the container number and the pick-up date (the date you want the coverage to start).
- Once you upload the filled-out template, the Checkout box will automatically update.

I submitted the containers, what’s next?
- Well done! Your containers are now protected from the indicated pick-up date.
- You can download the insurance confirmation directly from the Insurance Manager.
When does the insurance coverage start?
- The insurance contract is only valid if you clicked on the Start Basic Insurance (or Start Premium Insurance) button in the checkout box.
- Prior to this, no contract is made, and no container is insured.

- The insurance coverage will start on the date you entered in the template. This date can also be in the future. You will only be charged for insurance premiums from this day forward.
How long does the insurance coverage last?
- The insurance coverage will be automatically renewed until you decide to Stop the insurance.
