  • First, you need to access the Insurance Manager through the Navigation Menu on the left.

  • You will see a general overview of the difference between Basic Insurance and
    Premium Insurance

  • You can use the Basic Insurance Cost Calculator to calculate the insurance charges for your individual case by entering:
    • Container type
    • Quantity of containers
    • Pick-up location
    • Insured period: number of days you want the insurance to be enabled.

  • After you have entered the data, you can move forward with the process by clicking on ⬆️ Choose Basic or Choose Premium
    • You will not be charged for any insurance at this point.
  • You will then add the containers you want to insure. To do this, download the Excel template and fill out both the container number and the pick-up date (the date you want the coverage to start).
    • If you want to use the Premium insurance, you can also choose your preferred deductible in this step.

  • Once you upload the filled-out template, the Checkout box will automatically update.
    • Please note the insurance is valid for one-way moves up to 60 days after pick-up (per container).
    • The insurance will be automatically renewed on a per-day basis after 60 days unless the containers are reported as empty returned/ dropped off on xChange.

  • Only by clicking Start Basic Insurance (or Start Premium Insurance), your coverage will start and you will be charged.
  • You will automatically be redirected to your insurance overview page, where you can monitor each container’s insurance status, add new containers to insure, and stop the insurance for some or all containers.
