Does everyone have to sign the Multiparty Agreement (BIMCO)?

No. All of xChange's leasing members who signed the BIMCO agreement before the new Standard Container Leasing Agreement came into place on the 21st of September, 2023, 00:00 CEST did have to sign this agreement.

Now, if a partner wants to move forward to the Release stage of any leasing deal, both partners need to have signed the Standard Container Leasing Agreement.

Does the Multiparty Agreement (BIMCO) still apply to some leasing deals?

Yes.

All leasing deals that were created before the 21st of September, 2023 are still ruled by the Multiparty Agreement (BIMCO) agreement. For any new deals created after that date, the Standard Container Leasing Agreement will apply.
